Spaghetti Alla Marinara ( Spaghetti, Sailors
Ingredients
- 2 x Garlic cloves, sliced
- 1/3 c. Extra virgin olive oil
- 4 c. Tomatoes, peeled
- 1 Tbsp. Parsley, minced
- 1/2 tsp Basil
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 x Red pepper pod, seeded
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 3 Tbsp. Tomato paste
- 1 pkt Spaghetti
- Grated cheese
Directions
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat with the garlic and red pepper.
- When garlic is golden brown, remove pan from heat and allow to cold a bit. Add in tomatoes, crushing them slightly. Add in parsley, basil, and salt and cook over low flame about 30 min. Add in oregano and tomato paste, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and cook for about 15 min or possibly till thickened.
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions, drain, and place on serving dish. Pour sauce over spaghetti, mix lightly, and serve at once with grated cheese.
