  • Spaghetti A La Livorno

    Ingredients

    •     A favorite recipe from Vicki, an old friend.
    • 10 x -30 garlic cloves sliced not too thin
    • 1 x or possibly more Warm chili peppers
    • 4 Tbsp. to 1/4 c. or possibly more extra virgin olive oil

    Directions

    1. On a very low heat, saute/fry garlic in extra virgin olive oil. Do not let the garlic brown - just saute/fry till the oil becomes imbued with the garlic flavor. Let it take its time. Add in the chili peppers about halfway through.
    2. Cook spaghetti, drain, but do not rinse. Save 1/4 c. of liquid. Add in warm liquid removed spaghetti to oil mix. Stir over heat for a few min, till it is really warm. Add in salt and lots of fresh grnd black pepper and fresh minced basil if you have some available. You can add in grated cheese. If it gets too dry out while heating, add in water from spaghetti as needed.
