  • Sourdough Pancakes Of Alaska

    Ingredients

    • 1 c. Sourdough Starter Mix (see recipe)
    • 1 c. all-purpose flour
    • 1 c. hot water
    • 1 x egg
    • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    • 1 Tbsp. sugar
    • 1/2 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda

    Directions

    1. Place the Sourdough Starter Fold in a nonreactive mixing bowl, add in the flour and water. Stir and leave, loosely covered, overnight in a hot place.
    2. The following morning, stir the mix and remove 1 c., adding it to your sourdough starter in the refrigerator.
    3. To the hot sourdough mix, add in remaining ingredients, stirring well.
    4. For each pancake, pour scant 1/4 c. batter onto a warm griddle. Cook pancakes till dry around edges. Turn and cook other sides till lightly golden.
    5. This recipe yields 2 servings.
