Sour Dough Angel Biscuits
Ingredients
- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
Directions
- Mix flour, shortening, soda, salt and sugar. Dissolve yeast and hot water. Add in to flour mix. Add in buttermilk. Stir well. Chill and let chill. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick, cut with biscuit cutter. Let rise about 1 hour. Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 15 min.
