Sirloin Tips Over Noodles
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. Crisco
- 2 lbs. beef sirloin tip (cut into 1 inch cubes)
- 2 cans (10 1/2 ounce.) condensed beef consomme
- 1 can (10 1/2 ounce.) beef broth
- 1/3 c. red burgundy or possibly if you like cranberry sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic pwdr
- 1/4 teaspoon onion pwdr
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 to 4 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 pkg. wide Creamette noodles or possibly 4 c. cooked Minute Rice
Directions
- Heat shortening in large frying pan. Brown meat on both sides. Stir in consomme, beef broth, wine, soy sauce, garlic and onion pwdr. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour or possibly till meat is tender.
- Blend cornstarch and water. Stir gradually into meat mix. Cook stirring constantly till mix thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Serve this over cooked wide noodles or possibly Minute Rice. Very good.
