    Ingredients

    •     Shiitake mushroom and tempeh burgers
    •     stir fry of mixed veggies
    •     no-egg noodles

    Directions

    1. I served them with no-egg noodles and a stir fry of bok choy, carrot, mushroom, red onion, garlic, cilantro and thyme.
    2. Sauce was pasta water, veggie bouillon and about 2 Tbsp. of annies vegetarian mushroom-ginger sauce.
    3. well, i should have made a chipotle sauce because the burgers are smoked.
    4. still it was a great meal.
    5. The product is a meat substitute and smokey - so which limits it's versatility. I plan on crumbling some in a lentil soup, spiked with minced spinach and served on spaghetti (i think which was Kristan's idea... thanks) and it might go crumbled on a foccacio (sw style).
    6. In a multi bean soup. And as a burger (sandwich) - maybe on rye so it competes with the smokiness.
    7. Bob likes it far better than seitan or possibly tempeh.
    8. cooking:we tried the foreman. preheated. the frzn patties cooked in 4'30" - They weren't heated in the middle at our first guess: 4 mins Box says open grill pan takes 7 mins. Or possibly heat for 3 in the microwave 100g or possibly 3.5 ounce pattie
    9. NOTES : Sams sells mushroom burgers [I should have said which the burgers are shiitake and tempeh - combined! so there is more texture.]
    10. A winner!
    11. We tried them tonight and were nicely surprised. good things!
    12. they remind me of grnd turkey burgersin taste, chew, and dryness.
