Scalloped Stewed Tomatoes
Ingredients
- 1 x (20 ounce.) can stewed tomatoes
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 c. seasoned croutons
- 1 sm onion, minced finely
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp prepared mustard
Directions
- In saucepan, heat butter. Add in flour, salt, pepper and mustard and cook over low heat till smooth. Add in tomatoes and 1 c. croutons. Mix well and pour into buttered casserole. Top with other c. of croutons and bake at 400 degrees for 30 min. May be prepared in advance, except for topping.
