Sausage Sauerkraut Balls
Ingredients
- 1 c. minced onions
- 3 packages. Jimmy Dean sausage at 12 ounce each (loose sausage, not in casings)
- 16 ounce can sauerkraut, liquid removed
- 8 T bread crumbs
- 1 (8 ounce) pkg. cream cheese
- 5 to 6 T minced fresh parsley
- 3 teaspoon mustard
- 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- Sprinkle of freshly grnd pepper
- 2 c. seasoned fine bread crumbs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
Directions
- 1. Saute onion and sausage together. Brown and drain.2. Add in sauerkraut and bread crumbs.
- 3. Put together cream cheese, parsley, mustard, garlic salt and pepper. Add in to mix and refrigerate.
- Then shape into 1 inch balls.
- Coat meatballs with flour, then dip into lowfat milk and egg mix and roll into dry bread crumbs.
- Place into hot oil in deep fry pan for about 2 min or possibly till done. Makes approximately 60 meatballs. Serve with horseradish or possibly mustard sauce.
