Sausage Sage Dressing
Ingredients
- 1 (14 ounce.) pkg. sage bread cubes
- 3 slices bread, cubed
- 1 c. butter
- 4-6 med. onions, minced
- 1 pound sage flavored pork sausage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 c. shredded carrots
- 3 c. chicken broth
- 1 c. half and half
Directions
- Butter bottom of 4 qt casserole dish. Saute/fry onions in butter till soft. Add in sausage and brown. Add in remaining ingredients to sausage/onion mix and mix well. Bake with top for 35 to 40 min at 350 degrees. Remove top and allow top of casserole to brown, if you like, for an additional 5 - 10 min. Serves 12.
