Sausage and Cheese Lasagne
This is another one of my mom's recipes that I can't get enough of. It's perfect comfort food for a snowy day. It's easy to make and the best lasagne I've ever had! Ingredients
- 9 lasagna noodles cooked as per box
- 3/4 Lb. hamburger meat
- 1 Lb. Italian sausage
- 12oz. shredded cheddar cheese
- 12oz. mozzarella cheese
- Sm. yellow onion chopped
- Parmesan cheese
- 1 lg. jar marinara sauce + 1 sm. jar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions
- Saute onion in a 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet until light brown.
- Add in the meat and chop with spatula until hamburger and sausage are in small pieces
- Saute until meat is browned.
- Drain oil and add sauce. Let simmer for 5 minutes then set aside. Cook noodles and lay them on wax paper or clean dish towel until ready to use.
- Place small amount of sauce at bottom of pan.
- Layer 3 lasagne noodles over the layer of sauce.
- Layer noodles with a small amount of sauce.
- Layer sauce with cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat for two more layers.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Bake 30 minutes if room temp. (if frozen 1 hour) @ 350 degrees.
- Let cool for 5-10 minutes, and serve!
