Salty Pecan Roll
Ingredients
- 2 c. (7 1/2 ounce.) marshmallow creme
- 3 1/2 c. (1 lb.) powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Minced pecans or possibly salted roasted peanuts
- 1/4 teaspoon butter flavoring
- 14 ounce. pkg. caramels
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream
Directions
- Combine marshmallow creme, sugar, vanilla and butter flavoring. Knead till sugar is thoroughly blended. Shape into eight rolls. Wrap each in plastic and freeze. Heat caramels and cream in top of double boiler. Dip frzn candy rolls into melted caramel and roll in nuts. Store, covered in cold, dry place.
- Makes 8 rolls.
