Round Steak In Rich Gravy
Ingredients
- 3 pound round steak
- 1/3 c. flour
- 3 tbsp. shortening
- 1 env. dry onion soup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
Directions
- Sprinkle 1 side of meat with 1/2 of flour and lb. in. Turn and lb. in remaining flour. Cut into serving size pcs. Heat shortening in large skillet, brown meat about 15 min.
- Sprinkle onion soup over meat. Mix water and soup, pour over meat. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 - 2 hrs till tender. Use sauce as gravy.
