Rosemary Foccacia
We like this fresh, fragrant bread much better than the frozen garlic bread from the grocer’s freezer! Your family will too- the smell is amazing! I buy my Foccacia at the bakery in my local Superstore (labeled “Simple Foccacia”). At only 1.50 for a large loaf, it’s already a great bargain, but on Saturday and Sunday you can find it on the reduced bakery item rack, still fresh, for .90¢. Talk about a bargain! Ingredients
- 1 loaf simple Foccacia
- 1-2 tbsp. olive oil
- kosher salt, or regular salt to taste
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary, leaves removed from stem and chopped, or 1/4 tsp. crushed rosemary
Directions
- Preheat oven to 275°F.
- Line a medium baking sheet with foil.
- Drizzle olive oil over Foccacia and using a brush or your fingers, spread oil evenly over breadâs surface.
- Sprinkle with salt and rosemary. Put on prepared baking sheet and bake at 275° for 8-10 minutes until bread is warm.
