This delicious dessert (also known as Muddy Buddies) is extremely easy to make and is great for kids.

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1 cup peanut butter
    • 2 cups powdered sugar
    • 12 oz chocolate chips
    • 14 oz Chex cereal

    Directions

    1. Melt the butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter together in a pan until smooth.
    2. Pour the cereal into the mixture toss to coat.
    3. Put the cereal into a Ziploc bag, pour in the powdered sugar and seal tightly.
    4. Shake until the cereal is coated.

The only thing I hate about this recipe is that I cannot control myself....I can never stop eating it!!

I only make this at Christmas time and I add red and green M&M's and pretzels too. We call it Reindeer Munchies!!

Golden Grahams would add a different taste. I've always use Crispix instead of chex. Though I am sure that there are many variations of this treat.

I love this stuff. It's so good. It is really good when you're craving something sweet and chocolate.

I have made Puppy Chow for a number of years and I usually don't use butter when melting the chocolate chips and peanut butter but may try that the next time. I use Golden Graham's instead of Chex Cereal and I think it has a much better taste like S'mores.

Wow, not sure I would want my kid eating 847 calories for snack!

I think these calories are for the entire receipe, not just one serving; so it would be 847 divided by 6 for the servings, so 141 is really not too bad!
