Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients
- 1½ cups pumpkin, canned or freshly cooked, mashed
- ½ cup sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon each cinnamon, ginger, and salt
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Mix together pumpkin, sugar,
- milk, beaten eggs, spices, and salt. Blend well.
- Pour into unbaked pie crust.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to
- 325 degrees and continue baking for another 20 to 30 minutes.
- Top with meringue and bake an additional 2 to 4 minutes or
- until golden brown. Or you can top with whipped cream when
- served
