My granny's recipe, delicious. If you use smooth peanutbutter you can use a cookie press, otherwise they are made by hand.cream the butter & sugar, add the eggs slowly while mixing Add the peanut butter Add the milk and

    Ingredients

    • 1/4 milk
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in the milk
    • 2 eggs
    • Pinch of salt
    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 3 cups cake flour, sifted
    • 250 g margerine or butter
    • 1/2 cup peanut butter

    Directions

    1. Pre-heat oven to 180*C/375*F
    2. Cream the butters and sugar
    3. Add the eggs and mix
    4. Add the milk and flour
    5. Mix until a soft dough forms
    6. With floured fingers, form small balls between hands, place apart on GREASED baking sheets, or
    7. Roll dough to fit in the cookie press, and form cookies on UNGREASED baking sheets(otherwise they won't stick
    8. Or, place dough between 2 plastic sheets, roll out with a rolling pin and use cokkie cutters to form any shape you desire
    9. Bake +_ 15 minutes
    10. Remove from oven, allow to cool 1 minute, the remove the cookies from the baking sheetusing a egg lifter and place on cooling rack, if you wait longer they stick, and if they are not cool, they will stick together. When cooled totally, store in your cookie bin in a cool place. They last about 3 months, but mine don't, they seem to dissapear!
