    What do you do when it is 100 degrees outside? Bake of course. I know I know crazy right. Thank goodness I have a nice open kitchen that stays cool even with the oven on. These cookies smelled so good baking and are just so tempting that waiting to let them cool slightly was torture!

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup butter, softened at room temperature
    • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 1 egg
    • 1-1/4 cup flour
    • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 36 chocolate kisses

    Directions

    1. Mix together sugar, brown sugar, butter, peanut butter and egg with a mixer until creamy. Sift together the dry ingredients and add to the peanut butter mixture. Beat until well blended. Using a cookie scoop place the dough on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees 9-11 minutes. Take out and push the chocolate kiss into the top of the cookie. Let cool. Makes approximately 36 cookies
