  • Pav Bhaji Recipe

    Pav Bhaji is one of the most popular snack in Mumbai. It is a mixture of various vegetables boiled, mashed and cooked with a spicy masala and served with butter fried pav.

    Ingredients

    • 6 potatoes boiled and mashed
    • 6 tomatoes chopped
    • 4 onions chopped
    • 6-7 green chillies chopped
    • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
    • 1 packet Amul Butter
    • capsicum, cauliflower and peas boiled
    • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
    • 2 tbsp MTR Pav Bhaji Masala
    • 1 lemon
    • 10 pav
    • chopped coriander leaves, lemon wedges, chopped onions and butter for garnishing
    • salt

    Directions

    1. In a large deep pan heat butter.
    2. Add chopped onions. Sautee till onions and translucent.
    3. Add ginger garlic paste and chopped green chillies.
    4. Now add half of the chopped tomatoes and let it cook for 10 minutes.
    5. Add mashed potatoes, boiled veggies and 2 cups of water.
    6. Add pav bhaji masala and red chilli powder. Mix everything well with a masher. Let it cook for 10 minutes
    7. Now add the remaining tomatoes, salt and mix everything well. Cover it with a lid and let it cook.
    8. Squeeze in lemon juice.
    9. Finally add butter and coriander leaves. Serve it hot with butter fried pav.
