Pat's Strawberry Pie
Ingredients
- 1 x unbaked 9" pie shell with top crust
- 1 quart strawberries
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Remove stems from berries and slice them in half or possibly thirds, depending on size. Mix berries with 1 c. sugar and tapioca. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust, flute edges, and vent top. Sprinkle top crust with 1 TBSP sugar and bake at 450 degrees for 10 min, then lower oven heat to 350 degrees and bake for 30 min longer or possibly till light brown.
