  • Pasta With Salmon Cream Sauce

    Ingredients

    • 8 ounce Penne or possibly zita or possibly other tubul
    • 2 tsp Butter or possibly margarine
    • 2 tsp Onion, chopped
    • 2 tsp Flour, all purpose
    •     Pepper
    • 1 c. Peas
    • 1 c. Salmon, red sockeye
    • 1/4 c. Parsley
    • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
    • 1 1/4 c. Lowfat milk

    Directions

    1. Calories per serving: 300 In large pot of boiling water, cook pasta al dente (tender but hard) about 10 12 min. Drain and return to pot. In saucepan, heat butter over medium heat add in onion and cook till tender.
    2. Stir in flour and cook for a few seconds. Whisk in lowfat milk and bring to sa simmer, stirring constantly. Add in peas, salmon brokin into chunks and salmon juices, parsley, cheese, pepper. Pour mix over pasta and stir gently to mix. Serve Immediately. Microwave method: Cook pasta as above in glass bowl or possibly 4 c. measure. Microwave butter and onion at Medium-High for 1 minute or possibly till onion is tender. Stir in flour to create smooth paste. Gradually whisk in lowfat milk. Microwave at High for 3 to 5 min or possibly till boiling and thickened, whisking after each minute. Add in remaining ingredients and continue as the above receipe.
