Great for weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, any type of event where you will have finger foods. Any flavor can be added. Get creative. There are tons of things you can do with these mints. One idea, for christmas, divide mint in half, color one half green and other red. Roll out flat, and set one color on top of other, then slice to make patties. Looks great, tastes even better.

    Ingredients

    • 1/3 Cup whipping cream
    • 1/2 Cup butter, melted
    • 1 egg white
    • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
    • Salt to taste (maybe 1/16 teaspoon or less)
    • Peppermint oil (or any flavoring you desire)
    • Food coloring (if you want)
    • 2 pounds confectioner's sugar
    • Granulated sugar, optional (needed if using rubber molds)
    • Melted Chocolater, for dipping (optional)

    Directions

    2. Add butter, egg white, cream of tartar and salt, blend well.
    3. Add confectioners sugar, a small amount at a time, blending well after each addition with a spoon and then with hands. (Add additional confectioners sugar if neccessary.
    4. Mints may be rolled in grandulated sugar and pressed into soft rubber mods, then immediately released. Or..

    6. Roll out flat and use small cookie cutters.
    7. Let set to dry.
    8. Dip in melted chocolate if desired.
    9. Note: if different flavors and or colors are desired, divide finished candy and work in flavoring and food coloring after adding powdered sugar.
