Oven Kalua Pork
Ingredients
- 8 lb Pork butt
- Hawaiian Rock Salt or possibly coarse grnd Kosher Salt
- 5 x -(up to)
- 6 Tbsp. Liquid Smoke
- 6 x -(up to)
- 8 x Leaves (or possibly banana, taro, or possibly Spinach leaves)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 500 degrees Rub pork butt with salt and Liquid Smoke. Wrap first in leaves and then in heavy foil. Place seam side up in a roaster with a lid. Cover and bake for 1/2 hour. Reduce heat and bake 3 1/2 hrs at 325 degrees. Shred into pcs and serve in a bit of its own juice.
