Oven Dried Apple Chips
Ingredients
- 3 lrg Granny smith apples, cored and sliced into 1/8-in. slices
- 4 c. Water
- 4 c. Granulated sugar
- One lemon, juice of
Directions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 250 F.
- 2. In a large saucepan bring the water, sugar, and lemon juice to a boil over medium-high heat, and cook till the sugar is dissolved.
- 3. Reduce the heat to low, add in the apple slices, and poach till the apple slices are just tender, about 1-2 min.
- 4. Place on sheet pans lined with silicone sheets, and bake till lightly brown, 5-10 min. (The Apple Chips have to be watched carefully to ensure which they don't get too browned.)
