Open Faced Ham And Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients
- 4 slc Hearty country bread, 1/2 inch thick grilled or possibly toasted
- 4 Tbsp. Creme fraiche, or possibly lowfat sour cream
- 4 x Plum tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 3 Tbsp. Thyme, finely minced
- 3 Tbsp. Parsley, finely minced
- 8 slc Ham, such as country ham
- 8 slc Cheese, such as manchego swiss or possibly gruyere
- 1 whl grain mustard
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 F. Place the bread side by side. Spread 1 Tbsp. of creme fraiche on each slice, and 3-4 slices of tomatoes on top of the creme fraiche; sprinkle the tomatoes with herbs. Place 2 slices of ham on top of the tomatoes and top with 2 slices of cheese. Bake in the oven till the cheese is melted and oozing. Serve with whole grain mustard.
