Nut and Fruit Bars
Farm Journal Cookbook Great for the Holidays Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates
- 1 (6 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained
- Confectioners sugar
Directions
- Combine the eggs and vanilla
- Beat well
- Add the sugar and the flour sifted with salt and baking powder
- Blend well
- Stir in the nuts and the fruits
- Bake in a greased 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan at 350 F for 30 minutes
- Cool in the pan on a wire rack
- Cut into 2 inches squares
- Sprinkle with the sugar
