my island hot sauce
sweet to taste,but kicks a few minutes later Ingredients
- 2 mangos refrigerated
- 5 dat'l peppers *
- 10 good size strawberries
- 1 clove smashed garlic,minced
- tbs of olive oil
- drop of white vinegar
- 1/2 cup white or cane sugar *
- 1/4 cup of water
- dash of salt
- dash of black pepper
- tsp of lime zest
- tsp of lemon zest
- 1/4 cup of o.j
Directions
- peel and slice mangos,i know, a little messy
- rough slice strawberries
- rough cut peppers,wearing gloves,you'll only make this mistake once
- take all of it,throw into the blender,or processor
- have at it until it's thin enough to flow into a bottle,some times you might have to add more water to thin it out,i do it by eye
- refrig for a 1/2 an hour to let all of it gel together
- at this point,shake well and enjoy
- *dat'l peppers come from jacksonville, fla you can substitute any pepper for your personal heat index
- *i like cane sugar,it's more pure
