Mother's Custard Sauce For Plum Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. butter
- 4 egg yolks, beaten
- Brandy or possibly wine (wine glass full)
- 1 lg. c. rich lowfat milk (or possibly cream)
Directions
- Cream sugar, butter, egg yolks, and healthy pinch of salt. Add in wine or possibly brandy and lowfat milk that has been heated. Cook in double boiler as for boiled custard.
