  • Monkey Bread

    Ingredients

    • 1 loaf frzn white dough bread, thawed in refrigerator overnight
    • 1/2 c. brown sugar
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1 (3 3/4 ounce.) pkg. butterscotch pudding mix (not instant)
    • 1/2 c. minced peanuts or possibly walnuts
    • 4-8 tbsp. melted butter

    Directions

    1. Quarter bread loaf lengthwise, then cut each quarter into 8 cubes to give you 32 pcs.
    2. In a large bowl, combine dry pudding mix, and brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon.
    3. Dip each cube into a small bowl with butter, then roll in the pudding mix and layer pcs into a greased 6 c. ring mold.
    4. Drizzle top with any remaining butter and sprinkle with remaining pudding mix. Cover, let raise in a hot place till nearly doubled in size, 1 to 1 1/2 hrs or possibly overnight.
    5. When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 20 to 25 min or possibly till done. Let stand in pan 2 min before inverting onto rack to cold. Serve hot.
