Minute Steak Bordelaise
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 1 x Sliced med onion
- 1 x Garlic clove
- 1 c. Beef broth or possibly bouillon
- 1 Tbsp. Cornstarch, dissolved in
- 2 Tbsp. Water
- 2/3 c. Dry red wine
- 2 Tbsp. Sherry
- Salt & pepper
- 1 lb Minute steaks
- Parsley
Directions
- Heat butter in skillet; cook onion & garlic till limp. Stir in broth & cornstarch; heat to boil, stirring till sauce thickens. Stir in wine & sherry; season with salt & pepper. Pour sauce into saucepan & keep hot. Add in steaks to skillet; raise heat & cook, turning occasionally till proportionately browned, about 90 seconds. Remove steaks to platter; pour sauce over. Use parsley as garnish.
