Mint Iced Tea
Ingredients
- 6 teaspoon tea
- A couple sprigs mint
- 1 quart. boiling water
- Mint and lemon for garnishing
- Juice of a large lemon
- Sugar syrup to taste
- Cracked ice
Directions
- Over tea and mint, pour boiling water. Let it steep 3-5 min. Strain; add in lemon juice and sweeten to taste with sugar syrup. Pour into tall glasses 2/3 full of cracked ice. Garnish with lemon slices and sprigs of mint.Sugar Syrup: Into a saucepan put 1 1/4 cups sugar and 3/4 cup water. Bring to boil, stirring till sugar is dissolved, and then boil 5 min. Cool and store in refrigerator, ready for use.
