Mickey's Baked Beans
If you have time, make a day ahead of time and refrigerate overnight to enhance flavor. Ingredients
- 1 pound Bacon slices, fried and crumbled
- 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
- 3 medium onions, finely chopped (about 2 cups)
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- 2/3 cup beef broth
- 1-1/2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-1/2 cups catsup
- 3 Tablespoons Yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 (13-oz) cans Bush’s Baked Beans
Directions
- In large roasting pan, fry bacon until crisp, remove and drain. Pour drippings from pan.
- In same pan, cook and stir ground beef, onion, and celery until meat is brown and onion is tender. Stir in broth, half of bacon and remaining ingredients. Cover.
- Bake at 375 degrees about 1 hour or until hot and bubbly. Sprinkle remaining half of bacon over beans. Serve.
