Maryland Crab Cakes
Ingredients
- 1 pound crab meat
- 3 slices white bread, cubed (no crust)
- 1 lg. egg or possibly 2 sm.
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- butter, butter or possibly Crisco for frying
Directions
- Remove all cartilage from crab meat. In a bowl, mix egg, bread, mayonnaise and seasonings. Add in crab meat and mix gently. If dry, add in more mayonnaise. Shape into 6 cakes. Cook in just sufficient fat not to stick. 5 min to a side.
