Magic Toffee
A fun and easy recipe, great for kids! Ingredients
- 40 Club crackers (1 sleeve)
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup margarine/butter
- 1 package chocolate chips
- Pecan pieces (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cover a cookie sheet with foil and lay crackers side by side covering the foil. Set aside.
- Melt butter and brown sugar and bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Pour mixture evenly over crackers. Place cookie sheet in 350 degree oven for 5 minutes. Let cool for 1 minute. Pour chocolate chips over toffee and spread with back of spoon. Add pecan pieces (optional).
- Refrigerate until set - usually over night. The freezer works well too and is faster!
- Keep refrigerated in tin container.
