    Ingredients

    • 4 c. flour
    • 4 tsp. baking powder
    • 1 1/4 salt
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 2/3 c (10 2/3 Tbsp) butter, firm but slightly softened
    • 1 1/2 c. cold buttermilk
    • 1 c heavy cream
    • 2 Tbsp, melted butter

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 400. spray 9x9 pan.
    2. Come dry ingredients. cut in butter by hand until it resembles coarse oatmeal. Do NOT over work the dough. Pour in cream & milk. Gently mil all the liquids just till blended. Scoop dough into prepared pan. spread to even by gently patting. Do not press down. Mark (score) top. Brush w/ melted butter. Bake @ 400 25-30 min.
