Lorraine's Buttermilk Rye Bread
Ingredients
- 7/8 c. Buttermilk, (or possibly 3 Tablespoons dry buttermilk pwdr and 7/8 c. water)
- 2 c. Bread flour
- 1/3 c. Rye flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. Brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Caraway seeds
- 2 tsp Dry yeast for bread machines
Directions

- I am putting in a Rye Bread Recipe which came out of this book. I have made it many times.
- Place all ingredients in bread pan, select Light Crust setting, and press Start.
- After baking cycle ends, remove bread from pan, place on cake rack and allow to cold 1 hour before slicing.
