Lebanese kibbeh
These delicious and simple patties are an easy version of the traditional Lebanese kibbeh. Ingredients
- 450 g ground lean beef
- 1 cup bulgur (cracked wheat)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 20 leaves of green mint
- 10 leaves of marjoram or 1 tsp dried
- ½ tsp allspice
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/3 bell pepper
- ½ green chili pepper (optional)
- 1 ½ tbs olive oil
Directions
2.Place the meat, spices and peppers in a food processor and grind for 3-5 minutes until the ingredients are well mixed and homogeneous.4.Using damp hands, shape the meat mixture into small, palm-sized patties. Place them on a parchment paper (or silicone cover) lined baking pan.Useful Links
