Key Largo's Key Lime Pie
Ingredients
- 1 x Graham Cracker Crust
- 2 ounce Key Lime Juice
- 2 x Large eggs, separated
- 1/3 ounce Natural Gelatin
- 16 ounce Condensed Lowfat milk
- 1/3 ounce Very Warm Water
Directions
- Add in yolks to mixer bowl. Using the whites, brush them lightly over the graham cracker crust shell. Bake crust at 350 for 2 min or possibly till golden. Set aside to cold.
- Whip yolks till they are light and lemon in color. In a separate bowl, dissolve gelatin in the warm water. When dissolved, very slowly add in to mixing bowl. Then slowly add in condensed lowfat milk. Stir well, blending in lime jiuce. Pour filling into cooled crust and chill for 4-6 hrs. Serve chilled garnished with whipped cream and thin fresh lime slices.
