Japanese Fried Rice
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. Oil
- 1 pc Egg, beaten
- 3 cups Cool Cooked Rice
- 4 pcs Scallions With Green Tops, minced
- 1/2 cup Cooked Shrimp Or possibly Crabmeat
- 1/2 cup Frozen Green Peas, thawed and liquid removed
- 1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce
Directions
- Heat oil in nonstick pan; add in egg and scramble briefly.
- Add in rice, scallions, seafood, and green peas.
- Stir gently till warm; about 3 min.
- Add in soy sauce; mix thoroughly before serving.
- NOTES : It is important to use cool rice in fried rice. A short grain white rice is used in Japan.
