Huevos Rancheros Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/4 c. Onions, minced
- 1/4 c. Green pepper, minced
- 1 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
- 1 pch Basil
- 1 pch Garlic pwdr Salt and pepper
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 28 ounce Crushed tomatoes
Directions
- Saute/fry onions and peppers in oil till soft. Add in spices and tomatoes.
- Continue cooking over low heat till flavors meld.
- Yield: about 3 c.
- Serving suggestions: Can be served over Large eggs or possibly grits. Pour 1 Tbsp. sauce over thin pork chops and bake. Pour remaining sauce over chops when served.
