    Binging, binging, binging…all in the name of Diwali.Card parties, family get-togethers, office get-together, you name it Overfed,over tired and the body screaming for a break!.That is my state today.And it needs to detox after those long diwali parties. So,here's a ‘detox’ drink,for relaxing my digestive system, resting my brain and relieving my skin of all the indulgences of the past month. This is also the time when autumn is fading into winter here in India so breaking away from the usual helps the body get ready for the next season.


    • 1/2 litre orange juice
    • 250 ml apple juice
    • 1/2 litre weak tea
    • 1 inch pieces of sliced ginger
    • 2 sticks cinnamon
    • Grated nutmeg
    • Stick mace
    • 6-8 cloves
    • 3 Tbsp grated jaggery
    • 60 ml lemon juice
    • Peel 1 orange
    • 1 sliced red apple
    • 3 segmented oranges


    1. Combine all the ingredients in a pan, except lemon juice and fruit. Bring to a simmer. Add lemon juice and fruit. Serve immediately.
