  • Honey Granola Bars

    Ingredients

    • 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine, room temp
    • 1/2 c. Honey
    • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
    • 1 lrg Egg
    • 3/4 c. All-purpose flour
    • 1 1/4 c. Granola
    • 1/2 c. Raisins
    • 1/2 c. Confectioner's sugar
    • 2 tsp Warm water, or possibly more

    Directions

    1. 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8- or possibly 9-inch square pan with foil.
    2. Lightly grease foil.
    3. 2. Beat butter, honey and vanilla in a large bowl with electric mixer till well blended.
    4. 3. With mixer on low speed, add in egg, flour, granola and raisins and beat just till blended.
    5. 4. Spread in prepared pan.
    6. 5. Bake 25-30 min till toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
    7. Cold on pan in rack.
    8. 6. Drizzle glaze over top.
    9. 7. When glaze has set, lift foil by ends to cutting board. Cut in bars.
    10. Makes24 bars, 120 calories per bar. GLAZE: Whisk confectioner's sugar and warm water in a medium-size bowl till smooth, adding a few more drops water, if needed, to make a thick glaze.
