Honey Granola Bars
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine, room temp
- 1/2 c. Honey
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 lrg Egg
- 3/4 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 c. Granola
- 1/2 c. Raisins
- 1/2 c. Confectioner's sugar
- 2 tsp Warm water, or possibly more
Directions
- 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8- or possibly 9-inch square pan with foil.
- Lightly grease foil.
- 2. Beat butter, honey and vanilla in a large bowl with electric mixer till well blended.
- 3. With mixer on low speed, add in egg, flour, granola and raisins and beat just till blended.
- 4. Spread in prepared pan.
- 5. Bake 25-30 min till toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
- Cold on pan in rack.
- 6. Drizzle glaze over top.
- 7. When glaze has set, lift foil by ends to cutting board. Cut in bars.
- Makes24 bars, 120 calories per bar. GLAZE: Whisk confectioner's sugar and warm water in a medium-size bowl till smooth, adding a few more drops water, if needed, to make a thick glaze.
