Honey cookies
Barely sweet, slightly salty and crumbling Ingredients
- 230g butter, softened
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups walnuts, chopped
- ½ tsp salt
Directions
- In large bowl, with mixer at high speed, beat butter until creamy.
- Add honey and vanilla; beat until well blended.
- With mixer at low speed beat in flour, walnuts and salt until dough forms. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 160ËC. With lightly floured hands, shape dough by heaping teaspoons into balls. Place balls, about 5 cm apart, on ungreased large cooking sheet. Press floured fork across top of the each ball.
- Bake at 160ËC for 18-20 minutes, until golden. Remove to cool. Repeat with remaining dough
