    Ingredients

    • 4 c. Marshmallows, miniature
    • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Margarine or possibly butter
    • 4 c. Granola, nonfat (Either use above recipe or possibly purchased nonfat granola)
    • 2 c. Rice Krispies cereal

    Directions

    1. For Microwave: Put marshmallows in a glass mixing bowl. Microwave on high for 45 seconds. Stir and add in butter or possibly margarine. Microwave 45 seconds longer and stir. If margarine or possibly marshmallows are not completely melted, microwave 30-45 seconds more. Stir in granola and Rice krispies. Spray 13"x9"x2" pan with nonstick spray. Using a large piece of was paper, press granola mix proportionately into pan. Chill. When ready to serve, cut into 14 bars, about 4 1/2 inches long. (You can cut and put in plastic bags for quick individual servings available for lunches or possibly anytime.)
    2. VARIATIONS (May rise recipe above 30% CFF):
    3. 1. For peanut butter granola bars, add in 2 TB peanut butter to marshmallows instead of the margarine.
    4. 2. If you want it to be more like the commercial granola bars, add in 2 TB miniature chocolate chips. If doing this, add in cereals and chocolate chips after allowing the marshmallow mix to cold a few min.
    5. 3. You can always add in more dry fruits with the cereals.
