Heringstopf Mit Saurer Sahne (Herring Salad With Sour Cream)
Ingredients
- 1 c. Lowfat sour cream
- 1/2 c. Yogurt
- 1/2 x Lemon, Juice Only
- 1/4 tsp Sugar
- 2 x Onions, Small
- 2 x Apples, Medium, Tart
- 8 x Herring Fillets, Marinated
- 2 tsp Dill, Fresh Or possibly
- 1/2 tsp Dillweed, Dry
Directions
- Blend thoroughly lowfat sour cream, yogurt, lemon juice and sugar. Salad:Peel onions and cut into thin slices. Peel and quarter apples, remove cores and but into thin wedges.
- Blend onions and apples with sauce. In a dish arrange herring and apple-onion mix in layers.
- Cover tightly and marinate in refrigerator for 5 hrs. Sprinkle with dill before serving.
