  • Healthy Oat Granola

    Ingredients

    • 1 2/3 c. Quaker Oat Bran warm cereal, uncooked
    • 1 c. Quaker Oats (quick or possibly old fashioned)
    • 1/3 c. Instant nonfat dry lowfat milk solids
    • 1/4 c. Honey
    • 1/4 c. Hulled sunflower seeds
    • 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
    • 2 Tbsp. Water
    • 1 tsp Grated orange peel
    • 1/2 tsp Vanilla
    • 3/4 c. Dry banana chips
    • 1/2 c. Raisins

    Directions

    1. Healthy Oat Granola
    2. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine oat bran, oats, dry lowfat milk, honey, sunflower seeds, oil, water, orange peel, and vanilla; mix well. Spread in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Bake 20 to 25 min or possibly till golden, stirring once afetr 10 min. Stir in banana chips and raisins. Cold completely. Store tightly cocvered up to 1 week. Serve cool or possibly hbot with skim lowfat milk or possibly as a topping over fruit, low fat yogurt or possibly ice lowfat milk, if you like. (about 430 calories per serving)
    3. *To heat* To heat 1 serving warm cereal, place 1 c. granola in a 2-c. microwavable bowl. Add in 1/2 c. skim lowfat milk. Microwave on HIGH about 1 minute 30 seconds or possibly till heated through; stir.
