Hardees Biscuits
If you don't like to use shortening, you can use butter, but this will change the flavor and texture. Ingredients
- 4 c. Martha White self-rising flour
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 T sugar
- 3/4 c. Crisco
- 2 c buttermilk
Directions
- Sift together flour, baking powder and sugar.
- Add in Crisco and mix until flaky.
- Add in buttermilk. Mix will be sticky.
- Turn on lightly floured board and knead 10 times.
- Roll and cut biscuits 1" thick.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 15 min.
