  • Ground Beef In Sour Cream Sauce

    Ingredients

    • 1 c. minced onion
    • 2 tbsp. fat
    • 1 pound grnd beef
    • 3 c. med. noodles
    • 3 c. tomato juice
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
    • Dash pepper
    • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1//2 to 3/4 c. minced green pepper
    • 1 c. lowfat sour cream
    • 3 ounce. can sliced mushrooms, liquid removed

    Directions

    1. Cook onion in warm fat till tender but not browned. Add in beef; brown lightly. Place noodles in layer over meat. Combine tomato juice and seasonings. Pour over noodles. Bring to boiling; cover, and simmer over low heat 20 min. Add in green pepper; cover and continue cooking 10 min or possibly till noodles are tender. Stir in lowfat sour cream and mushrooms; heat to just boiling. Season to taste. Top with green - pepper rings. Makes 6 servings.
