Ground Beef And Vegetable Casserole
Ingredients
- 2 lb Grnd chuck
- 4 Tbsp. Shortening
- 1/2 tsp Sage
- 3 Tbsp. All-purpose flour
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 2 c. Unstrained tomatoes
- 10 x Onion, sliced, fried Buttered crumbs
Directions
- Mold grnd chuck into medium size balls and place in bottom of 2 qt casserole.Season with sage,salt and pepper.Over this, place layer of fried onions.Heat shortening,add in flour;mix well. To this,add in tomatoes.Cook till thickened.Pour over onions. Cover with buttered crumbs.bake,uncovered,in 375 degree oven for 1 1/2 hrs.Serves 5 to 6.
