  • Grilled Peaches With Whipped Cream And Caramel

    Ingredients

    • 6 x hard but ripe large peaches peeled, halved, and pitted
    • 1/2 c. sugar
    • 1 c. chilled whipping cream
    • 3/4 c. caramel sauce warmed

    Directions

    1. Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Arrange peach halves, cut-side up, on baking sheet; sprinkle peaches with sugar. Let stand till sugar begins to soften, about 10 min. Place peaches on grill, sugared-side down. Grill till tender and slightly charred, about 4 min per side. Transfer peach halves to plates.
    2. Using electric mixer, beat whipping cream in bowl till peaks form; mix in 1/4 c. hot caramel sauce just till streaks appear. Spoon caramel whipped cream alongside peaches. Serve, passing remaining caramel sauce separately.
