Greek Rice Pilaf
This is a very creamy rich rice that serves as a side dish, many people have difficulty with rice, I have placed a fool proof, delicious recipe that will wow anyone. Ingredients
- 1 Cup Uncle Ben's Converted Rice (this is a must)
- 2 1/2 Cups chicken broth
- 1 Cube (1/2 Cup) Unsweetened Butter
- 1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
Directions
- In heavy sauce pan pour chicken broth and bring to a boil, set aside.
- In an other heavy sauce place butter and slowly melt.
- When butter is melted pour in rice and lightly saute.
- When rice is just golden, about 5 minutes, begin adding chicken broth, 1/2 cup at a time.
- When each 1/2 cup is absorbed add the next 1/2 cup, the broth and rice should be boiling rapidly. As you add the last 1/2 cup of hot broth shut off rice and add lemon juice.
- Cover the rice pot with a lid and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Fluff rice after 5 minutes and serve.
